The boiler is a 2-drum, Bent tube type, Sterling, composed of a completely water cooled furnace with top supported construction. Consisting of a 54" steam drum and a 36" lower drum, the boiler has a total heating surface of 11,106sq.ft. of which 1,686sq.ft. are in the waterwalls. The boiler is fitted with (1) 1,470sq.ft pendant type, single pass superheater, and (1) 0,070sq.ft. continuous bare tube economizer with gas bypass. The air preheater is available at additional cost. The boiler is equipped with (1) Detroit rotograte traveling spreader stoker, 12'-1" W x 18'-8" L, (4) feeders for ring bituminous coal, lignite1 bagasse or wood residual hogged fuels, (6) B&W circular multi-spud natural gas umers, (1) overflre air fan with motor, (1) flyash re-injection system, (1) 78,000CFM at 8.5" Clarage ID. fan with dual shaft extension employing at opposite ends, a 150HP, 900RPM, 440V motor and a 50HP, 600RPM, 40V motor, (1) 41,000CFM at 5.1" Clarage F.D. fan with dual shaft extension employing at opposite ends, a HP, 1200RPM, 440V motor, and a 15HP, 720RPM, 440V motor. The valve trim consists of (3) 2" safety valves - 2 for the boiler and I for the superheater, (1) Bailey 2-element feedwater regulator with bypass arrangement. (1) water column with gauge glass, (3) 1.5" Yarway tandem blowoff valves, (1) continuous lowdown valve, (1)4" feed, stop, and check valve, drain valves, (1)6" main outlet valve, Diamond sootblowers as well as relating valve trim, regulators, and controls.
