One (1)Combustion Engineering type VU 2-drum bent tube watertube boiler, built in 1943 (rebuilt in 1980) in accordance with ASME Codes and bearing NB stamping.  Boiler is composed of a 60" ID upper steam drum and a 36" OD lower drum.  Total heating surface of 23,578 sq. ft. of which 4,213 sq. ft. are in the waterwalls, with 2" & 3" OD tubes.  Approximate furnace volume is 16,380 cu. ft.  Fitted with a CE interbank superheater composed of 2" OD tubes.   In 1998 the bare tube 3-tier Economizer was retrofitted.  Fired by (4) Coen natural gas and #2-6 burners installed in 1999 with new control system.  Portions of the Riley stoker still remain making it capable of firing solid fuels with additional modifications and the addition of a tubular air preheater as well as increasing ID and FD fan capacity.  Installed with the boiler are Combustion and Flame Failure Safeguard controls, new FD and ID fans with motor drives to accommodate the natural gas or oil firing requirements.  Boiler is equipped with feedwater regulators with bypass valves, water column, sootblowers, feed check and globe valves, safety and blowdown valves, drain valves, steam gauge as well as miscellaneous valve trim, regulators and controls.  Offered with structural steel, casing, hoppers, access and tube removal doors, interconnecting piping and ductwork.  Also available at additional cost:    149' stack, boiler feed pumps, deaerator Approximate Dimensions: 35’L x 30’W x 70’H Approximate Shipping Weight: 600,000 Lbs.
