One (1) 80,000#/hr. Erie City Zurn Shop-Assembled Package Watertube Boiler, Type Keystone, 2000 psig D.P. @ 800° F superheat. The boiler is an "O" design, composed of a 42" I.D. steam drum and a 24" I.D. lower drum. Boiler has a total heating surface of 8148 sq. ft. of which 942 sq. ft. are in the waterwalls. Furnace volume is 1476 cu. ft. All boiler tubes are 2" O.D., 0.180 thickness. The boiler is of pressurized furnace design incorporating front and rear welded waterwall construction. Built in 1974 in accordance with ASME Code and bearing N.B. No. 18541 and H.S.B. stamping. Boiler will produce 80,000#/hr. continuous at an operating pressure of 1100-1850 psig @ superheater outlet temperature of 730-800° F when firing natural gas (syn gas) or #2 oil. This rating is at 230° F feedwater temperature. Boiler is equipped with a Zurn Model SAO-MJ-28 combination burner for natural gas (syn gas) and #2 oil. Offered with combustion controls, Fireye flame failure system; associated fuel trains and pilot, forced draft fan with dual drive (100HP motor, 460V and Elliott turbine), 4983 sq. ft. economizer, and all standard boiler valve trim, regulators and controls such as boiler and superheater safety valves, blowdown valves, feedwater regulator with bypass, water column, water gauge, pressure gauge, feed and drain valves, and sootblowers. Unit went into operation in 1975 and was used intermittently in a test facility until 1983. It was then drained and laid up dry with preservatives.
