Wabash stocks Cylindrical Fuel Economizers, which are expertly designed fin tube, heat recovery units using the most efficient heat transfer surface available specially designed for boiler installations. The construction features high frequency continuous welding for application of the helically wound fin to the tube wall. This assures a uniform fin-to-tube bond and maximum heat flow from the fin tip to the tube wall, thereby eliminating the possibility of breaks or gaps between base of fin and tube wall - a problem which reduces heat transfer efficiency when fins are not continuously welded to the tube wall.
Economizers are built in accordance with ASME code and are ruggedly constructed to assure many years of trouble free service. They are, engineered to meet all requirements for low gas side and water side pressure drops to assure that full fuel savings and heat transfer efficiency will be maintained.
Each model is equipped with a built-in, easy to operate sootblower so that no deposits can be built up and impede heat transfer surface. Economizers are furnished with circular gas openings which can be fitted to any boiler stack diameter eliminating the expense of heaving special transitions designed and fabricated.
In order that your particular boiler installation can be completed with the minimum of expense and boiler down time, Wabash can furnish, where required, installation accessories, such as: pre-engineered structural steel stack support framework elements, proportioning-type feedwater regulating controls, and thermometer or safety valve connections on the feedwater header.
