The twin units are D-Type boilers each with an elevated steam drum and a Natcom Low NOx burner. This package is complete with an Elliott Steam Turbine drive and Lufkin clutch assembly with a forced oil lube system. The boilers have never been fired and are designed to ASME Code. They also carry a National Board number and Canadian CRN for Alberta. Larger packaged boilers are suitable in the paper, petrochemical, utility, and other industries which require large capacities of continuous steam.
Jim Rafferty, President and CEO of Wabash Power, discusses the importance of maintaining an extensive boiler inventory. "Just as any other industry, demand for heavy equipment fluctuates, and our philosophy is to be prepared for any situation whether it be a planned outage, temporary capacity issue, or emergency steam need. We strategically place our boilers in seven locations across the United States to ensure that Wabash is always prepared to meet a customer’s need."
