Wabash Power has had a long record of charitable giving. From social services and scholarships to medical research and veterans affairs, we are proud that our innovative success has allowed us to give back where we believe it counts most. And though much of this assistance isn't broadcasted, our latest partnership is too good not to share.
Magdalene House Chicago
It is busy season, and rental boilers are a hot commodity at the moment, however, we must also take time to recognize, and take action, against systemic injustices in our world.
Wabash Power is proud to support Magdalene House Chicago, a non-profit organization whose aim is to support women that have been victims of sex trafficking. In the Chicago area alone, an estimated 16,000-25,000 women and girls are involved in the commercial sex trade, yet there are fewer than 40 beds available in all of Illinois for adult women survivors.
Magdalene House helps women begin the process of healing through its residential housing program. Magdalene House Chicago plans to open its first residence in 2021, and Wabash Power is proud to support these efforts with donations over the last 2 years.
